Company Profile

McKinzie Pest Control is a regional company with offices in Manhattan and Emporia, Kansas. Vernon McKinzie founded the Emporia Kansas office in 1960. A Board Certified Entomologist and graduate of the University of Kansas in 1959. He is nationally recognized in our industry. He has served as President of both National Pest Management Association and Kansas Pest Control Association. He has also served on the Lyon County Commission. Vern Retired in 2002 and continues to provide support and consultation at any time.

Steve McKinzie, President and CEO began working for the company while in High School and joined the firm full time in 1980, after receiving his degree in Biology and Business from Emporia State University. He has twice served as President of the Kansas Pest Control Association, and has served as chairman of their Government Affairs Committee. He is also a member of the Leadership Development Group for the National Pest Control Association and has served on the Sentricon Advisory Council for North America.

Bryon Estes, Manager of the Emporia Office joined McKinzie Pest Control in 1999. A native of Emporia, Bryon has been an integral part of the continued success of the Emporia Office. He has served in various community groups including Kiwanis International. Bryon has attended numerous state and national pest management functions and has completed the Pest Management Technology Course sponsored by the Center for Urban and Industrial Pest Management at Purdue University.
