Our Mission

Since 1946, The Florida Keys Mosquito Control District (FKMCD) has proactively protected the health and welfare of residents, visitors, and our ecosystem by controlling mosquito populations and preventing mosquito-borne diseases. We are dedicated to preserving the quality of life, promoting outdoor recreation, and supporting the economic vitality of the Florida Keys.

Our Services

We offer a comprehensive range of mosquito control services, including:

• Residential Mosquito Control: Targeted spraying and treatments for private homes and properties.
• Public Area Mosquito Control: Large-scale aerial spraying and larval control in parks, beaches, and other public spaces.
• Disease Surveillance and Prevention: Monitoring mosquito populations and outbreak response measures to protect residents from mosquito-borne diseases such as Dengue Fever.
• Mosquito Prevention Education: Workshops, informational brochures, and online resources to empower residents to protect themselves from mosquitoes.
