Clyde Leslie "Les" Smith, a pioneer in the field of urban and industrial pest control, founded Rid-A-Pest Inc. in 1972. With a strong educational background in entomology from North Carolina State University, Les knew he wanted to pursue a career related to insects and management. His extensive knowledge and experience in the field of pest control led him to establish Rid-A-Pest Inc. in the garage behind his Wilson, NC, home.
Family Legacy
Over the years, the company has been passed down through generations of the Smith family. Two of Les's sons, Jamie and Lee, now own and operate Rid-A-Pest Inc., continuing the family legacy of providing excellent pest control services.
